Lived Experience advocacy and support
Cycle Breaker Mission is a lived experience led nonprofit supporting women and children who’ve escaped family violence and now face the daunting legal system. We don’t just advocate, we walk beside them through every hearing, statement, and step toward lasting safety. Because true healing isn’t just leaving violence behind…
It’s securing safety, dignity, and the future they deserve.
No woman or child should face court alone. 👉 Your support helps us stand with them when it matters most.
What We Are About
Our Mission
We’re on a mission to change the way society talks about Family Violence. Through honest conversations and real world education, we help people understand the hidden patterns of abuse, and how to break them. We believe that when everyday people are equipped with insight and support, they can become powerful agents of change in their homes and communities.
Our future vision: A community where safe, affordable housing means no woman or child is ever forced back into danger because having a home shouldn’t be the price of freedom. Together, we can build homes that heal, futures that last, and hope that never runs out.
Our Goals
Cycle Breaker Mission is a lived-experience-led, registered nonprofit helping women and children rebuild safe, independent lives after violence.
Our goal is to break the cycle of family violence through bold, real action led by those who’ve walked the journey. We raise awareness through relatable education, build community by fostering courageous conversations, and stand beside women and children as they navigate the legal system walking with them through court, recovery, and beyond.
Why it matters
Family and domestic violence is a global crisis that affects millions. Around 1 in 3 women worldwide will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime most often by someone they know and trust. In Australia, 1 in 4 women have experienced violence by an intimate partner since age 15.
Tragically, domestic violence is still the leading reason women and children flee their homes and every year, dozens of Australian women lose their lives to gendered violence.
At Cycle Breaker Mission, we stand with survivors and work to break this cycle for good.
